Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider Update 1-Day Course
The PALS Provider Update Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. The goal of the PALS Provider Course is to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high-performance team dynamics and high-quality individual skills. This course uses precourse preparation, didactic instruction, and active participation in learning stations and simulated cases.
This course is designed for healthcare professionals with PALS experience to update their skills in the treatment and management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. If you have never taken a PALS class before or if you are not confident in demonstrating your PALS skills you should NOT take this course.
Please note: If you have a current AHA PALS card please bring it with you to class. Students do not need to have a current AHA PALS Card to take this course, however if you do not pass your written exam or skills test and you do not have a current AHA PALS Card to show your instructor, you will not be allowed to remediate. You will need to take the PALS Provider 2-Day course at the full price. Please bring a copy of your current card with you to class.
