Breastfeeding

Masks are optional for participants and instructors.

This class will prepare you for a successful and rewarding breastfeeding experience.

Topics include:

• Latching
• Positioning
• Supply
• How often and how long to feed
• How to avoid common problems

Class cost includes a hard copy workbook and accompanying WebApp for access to additional online videos and birth preparation resources. 

Class fee includes participant and one support person. Support persons are encouraged to attend.

Class length: 1 class session, 3 hours long

Refund policy: To obtain a refund for any Childbirth Education classes, a request must be submitted at least 24 hour prior to the start of the class. Inova Well reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. To reschedule or request a refund in these situations call 571-472-1400, option 2. Classes not rescheduled within 30 days of cancellation will automatically be refunded to the credit card used for registration. Inova Well will accommodate class transfer requests whenever possible, however, transfers are not guaranteed. All registrants are entitled to ONE transfer per class. Weather policy: Information about cancellations due to inclement weather or an area emergency can be obtained by calling the Inova Well weather hotline at 571-472-1438. Class cancellations do not always follow local public-school closings. Please feel free to bring a snack and drink to class for your enjoyment.
