Moving Together for Birth
Masking is optional for both instructors and participants of Inova Well childbirth education classes. We encourage participants experiencing symptoms to refrain from coming to class. If you do experience symptoms of illness please contact us at

In this body-based childbirth class, the birthing person and their supporters will learn how to work together while using gravity, movement, and instinct to promote an easier labor and birth experience. Research has shown that movement may shorten the labor process, reduce pain, and decrease the use of medical interventions.
Dancing For Birth™ partner classes offers you an opportunity to practice moving for birth! We birth in our bodies, so we need to learn about birth with our bodies. Muscle memory helps so much during labor! Together, the birthing person and their supporter learn how to tune-into the birthing body and your baby, how to create space in your pelvis for an easier birth, how to get baby into the optimal fetal position, and how to avoid back labor. Your instructor will provide evidence-based childbirth and parenting education as you come to understand how to nurture the process of labor. Connecting helps to eliminate fears and builds confidence in your ability to give birth together. This 90-minute class allows participants to move, relax, and learn in a nurturing safe space where sharing and practicing labor positions are encouraged.
Medical interventions and the hospital experience will be touched on but not explored in detail during this class. Pregnant participants are encouraged to take

Understanding Birth eClass prior to taking Dancing for Birth™.
Parents who plan to breastfeed should take a separate
Breastfeeding class.

Refund policy: To obtain a refund for any Childbirth Education classes, a request must be submitted at least 24 hour prior to the start of the class. Inova Well reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. To reschedule or request a refund in these situations call 571-472-1400, option 2. Classes not rescheduled within 30 days of cancellation will automatically be refunded to the credit card used for registration. Inova Well will accommodate class transfer requests whenever possible, however, transfers are not guaranteed. All registrants are entitled to ONE transfer per class. What to bring:
Feel free to bring a beverage or small snack, there are not any vending machines or cafeterias nearby.
